WHO ARE YOUR ROLE MODELS IN LIFE AND WHY?
My role models in life are my dad and sister. My dad has taught me to always do what is right and not what is easy. He has really inspired me to do the hard things and work for what I want. My sister, who also played college volleyball, has taught me to work hard no matter what. She faced many setbacks in her volleyball career but never let them bring her down. They both are big reasons I am able to play volleyball at the college level today.
Who or what inspired you to play volleyball?
My sister first inspired me to play volleyball. I was into soccer when I was younger but she convinced me to play for a rec team when I was in third grade. I was hesitant, but she always looked like she was having so much fun when I would go and watch her games. She also flew across the court in back row and I wanted to be able to do that one day. I fell in love with the sport at my first practice and there was no turning back!
